Hello there! I’m just asking out of curiosity — I haven’t started working with UXP yet since I’ve been traveling a lot lately.

My current CEP extension relies entirely on fetching data from Airtable, and I’m planning to migrate it to UXP. Does UXP work the same way as CEP in this regard? Can I simply install the Airtable package and use it, or are there additional setup steps required for a fresh UXP project?

Thank you!

Not sure, as I have zero Airtable experience. 🙂
UXP makes no attempts to impersonate a web browser; I would be surprised if the implementation specifics aren’t quite different, between CEP and UXP.

Thank you! I will try it myself and hope for the best.

“Most” browser npm packages will work in UXP but not all.

Any package that requires Node.js will not work.

If a browser package doesn’t work, you can try to polyfill any missing DOM methods, or use Webview instead which will support any browser packages.
