I have been considering rebuilding a CEP project as a UXP project in the light of Adobe’s announced ending of support for CEP. The project would be a natural fit for a multipanel plugin. I have a large amount of code for reading from and writing to InDesign. All that code in one plugin shared by a number of panels for the UI would be the natural way to structure the project. However there are at least three outstanding multipanel bugs:

Given the above bugs, I am thinking it simply isn’t sensible currently to build a UXP multipanel plugin for InDesign. Come on, Adobe, we really need help with this – fix the bugs!

I’m in the same boat.
Working on a complex multi-panel plugin, and the amount of concessions and workarounds and fragility makes me dubious about releasing the plugin.
Things like having to create a in-panel dropdown menu instead of the flyout, or having to remove the panels from the InDesign menu and so on will affect the user’s experience, and reflect badly on my own work.

I added the plugin window icon to the left toolbar (to distinguish it from the right toolbar, which is already quite full), and I saved my workspace. When I restart InDesign, the icon is still there in the toolbar. But maybe I didn’t understand your topic?

So I can find my plugins there, including the latest one I just finished, Export Machine.

Here’s a link, by the way—I’ll take this opportunity 😉
