Currently, the only method in InDesign for controlling the undo stack is by using app.doScript

However, if I call app.doScript on a UXP Script (or function in a UXP context), this stops working the moment the script does something asynchronous. Since file operations are all async, this means basically all app.doScripts no longer can control the undo stack. This means we have no way of controlling the undo stack.

I would love either another method for controlling the undo stack or for the ability to run async scripts with undo stack support
