**Host:** Adobe InDesign 21.2.0.30 (Windows 11). WebView2 151.0.4129.107.

**Manifest:** v5, one panel entrypoint with a single , webview.allow:“yes”, allowLocalRendering:“yes”, enableMessageBridge:“localAndRemote”.

**Attached:** minimal repro plugin (one panel, one webview with a text + native , no bridge). This is the concrete host + workflow requested in the “UXP UI Request Compilation” thread (2026-08-14): “Clicking directly on a WebView input element after changing focus between applications does not set focus to the panel.” Summary If InDesign is not the foreground app, clicking a text input inside a panel does not deliver keyboard focus to the webview. A caret flashes, but keystrokes go to whatever app was foreground; a native never opens. If InDesign is already foreground (click the document first), the same click works.

## Steps to reproduce

1. Load the attached plugin, open its panel and dock it.

2. Click another app (e.g. Notepad) so InDesign is not foreground.

3. Click directly into the text input in the panel.

4. Type.

**Expected:** characters appear in the input.

**Actual:** characters go to the other app; the input stays empty; the `<select>` never opens. Clicking the InDesign document first, then the input, works. The panel’s on-screen log shows it receives
