VideoTrack.getTrackItems(TRANSITION) always returns null elements

const project = await ppro.Project.getActiveProject();
const sequence = await project.getActiveSequence();
const videoTrack = await sequence.getVideoTrack(0);

const clips = await videoTrack.getTrackItems(ppro.Constants.TrackItemType.CLIP, false);
console.log(clips.length, clips[0]); // works fine, real VideoClipTrackItem objects

const transitions = await videoTrack.getTrackItems(ppro.Constants.TrackItemType.TRANSITION, false);
console.log(transitions.length, transitions[0]); // length > 0, but every element is null

CLIP returns real track items as expected. TRANSITION returns an array with a nonzero length, but every element in it is null.

I want to read the transition’s info (name/matchName, start time, duration) for a clip’s head/tail — a different call I should be using to get it?

Hi @yoshito,

This looks to be an unfortunate limitation with the getTrackItems API–we don’t currently have support for working with clip transitions, which results in these null-filled array return values.

I’ve created DVAPR-4267767 on our side to track looking into supporting transitions more appropriately which should also address the null array issue.
