Windows-only UXP UI issues in Photoshop: dropdown text, scrolling, and missing dividers

, ,

Hi Adobe team and community,

We are testing our GMG Photoshop UXP plugin and would appreciate some initial guidance on several UI issues on Windows. The same UI implementation works correctly on macOS.

Environment:

  • Photoshop: 29.7 or later

  • GMG Photoshop plugin: 2.2.2.0, unreleased

We observe the following in our Dynamic Conversion workflows:

  1. Dropdown text changes or becomes clipped:
After selecting a Source Project or Output Project, clicking the dropdown arrow changes the appearance or position of the selected project name. Part of the text becomes clipped or difficult to read.

  2. Dropdown closes while dragging its scrollbar:
Opening a project or ink dropdown and dragging the scrollbar thumb causes the dropdown to disappear while the mouse button is still pressed.

  3. Divider lines are missing or incomplete:
Separators between rows are missing or only partially visible in the Source Ink list, Output Ink list, and Channel Mapping dialog.

  4. An active field looks disabled:
The selected Source Project name sometimes appears greyed out after reopening or returning to the workflow, although the field remains active. The Output Project field does not show the same behavior.

These issues reproduce on Windows, while the equivalent UI behaves correctly on macOS.

We would appreciate clarification on the following:

  • Are these issues already known to or being investigated by the Photoshop/UXP team?

  • Does Adobe plan to address them in a future Photoshop update?

  • If fixes are planned, is there a target release version or an approximate timeframe you can share?

Any pointers to existing discussions or bug references would be appreciated.

Kind regards,
Fawad
