AE UXP support for modern browser APIs in complex UIs

For modern web UI frameworks (e.g., React), what level of support will UXP provide for modern browser primitives such as:

  • Pointer events and capture
  • requestAnimationFrame
  • DOM measurements
  • Resizer/mutation observers
  • SVG
  • CSS transforms/transitions

Will Adobe publish, or have you published, any resource on compatibility with these?

React, Vue, Svelte work in UXP with proper configuration. This is one of the key aspects of Bolt UXP is simplifying this setup.

The answer to the rest of your question varies. There’s a lot of DOM events, CSS properties, and SVG limitations in Vanilla UXP.

Adobe doesn’t have have these fully documented, some of them are in the docs, Jarda’s UXP Validator will illuminate some of these.

If you want full UI capabilities without compromising your design, definitely check out using a WebView UI. WebView will give you all the items you listed. Bolt UXP makes WebView setup easy.
