Hi Adobe team,
I’m building a UXP panel for Premiere Pro (version: 26.5.2, OS: Win11)
I able to apply Video transitions, read and write work well. I list them with TransitionFactory.getVideoTransitionMatchNames(), create them with TransitionFactory.createVideoTransition(matchName), and apply them with VideoClipTrackItem.createAddVideoTransitionAction(transition, AddTransitionOptions) inside a transaction. Duration, alignment, single-sided and apply-to-start all behave correctly.
I can’t find an equivalent for audio transitions:
- TransitionFactory only exposes createVideoTransition and getVideoTransitionMatchNames. There is no audio counterpart.
- AudioClipTrackItem has no createAddAudioTransitionAction or similar. Its methods (createMoveAction, createSetDisabledAction, createSetStartAction / createSetEndAction, createSetInPointAction / createSetOutPointAction, createSetNameAction) don’t cover transitions.
- I also enumerated the methods on TransitionFactory and on the audio track item at runtime, looking for anything matching /audio.*transition/i, and found nothing.
- AudioTrack.getTrackItems(Constants.TrackItemType.TRANSITION, …) is documented, but I haven’t found a way to create a transition to be returned, or to read its type or duration.
Questions:
- Is there currently any supported way to create or apply an audio transition (Constant Gain, Constant Power, Exponential Fade) from UXP?
- Is there any way to read existing audio transitions on a track item (type, duration, alignment)?
- If not, is audio transition support planned, and is there a version or timeline I can follow?
- Is there any workaround you would recommend, such as executing a menu command or the default-transition command (Shift+D / Ctrl+Shift+D equivalent) on a selection from a plugin?
Thanks a lot. Even a confirmation that this isn’t possible yet would help me decide how to handle it in the panel.
