Using UXP, exporting as jpg at %40 of original size

Hello everyone,
newb here! I am trying to get my script to export the active document as jpg, at smaller image size (%50 or any other size). My thought was to use “Export As” but it seems no longer available under UXP. Alternatively I thought about exporting image at original size as jpg, then load the exported jpg and resize and then save it. Or resize the document and then ‘save a copy’, then undo in history but both seem really redundant.
I’d appreciate any suggestions from you!

I tend to take a Snapshot, make any destructive changes, Save As, and then revert to the snapshot.
Another option would be to dupe the file into a new document, resize, then save.
