Clarification on Selling Adobe XD Plugins Outside the Marketplace (Perpetual/Subscription)

Hello everyone,

I’m a developer creating plugins for Adobe XD.

As many of you know, new submissions to the official Adobe XD Plugin Marketplace are no longer accepted. Because of this, I am considering distributing and selling my plugin outside of the Marketplace.

Before proceeding, I’d like to confirm whether the following distribution models would violate Adobe’s Terms of Use or Developer Additional Terms:

  1. Perpetual license (one-time purchase) – Users pay once and can continue using the plugin indefinitely.

  2. Subscription license (monthly or annual) – Users subscribe to continue using the plugin.

Additionally, if there are any specific conditions or restrictions I should follow when distributing a paid XD plugin outside of the official Marketplace (e.g., attribution, license text, technical limitations), I’d greatly appreciate guidance.

If anyone from Adobe or developers with similar experience could provide insights or references to official documentation, it would be very helpful.

I don’t think any of those models is violating the developer terms since you’re selling it independently, but read the Developer terms thoroughly just to be sure.
