Having Hybrid UXP Plugin support for After Effects UXP is going to be crucial for migrating many tools that require features that aren’t possible in UXP APIs.
Things like running CLI commands to communicate with external apps like FFMPEG, Jimp, OpenCV, licensing frameworks, and others all rely on Hybrid support in order to establish these sorts of communication.
Also any HTTP/S or WS/S Server support requires Hybrid until these features are added natively to UXP. Any tools requiring OAuth also need these servers via Hybrid in order to complete the OAuth callback URL workflow to integrate with online services and accounts.
