Override progress bar?

I’m running a function that takes about 2.5 secs to finish. Is there a way to override the Progress bar? I think is a little invasive for those 2.5 secs.

I saw that Photoshop automatically show it when a plugin script takes more than 2 secs, but is there a way to override it so it won’t be shown on that process?
