Photoshop: JavaScript add-on module not found

Hello, I have a CEP plugin which works the most of the time. But currently some customers send me error messages, that a JavaScript module could not be loaded.

The error message is nearly: “The extension “pixxio” could not be loaded because Photoshop could not find the JavaScript add-on module.”

German original message is: “Die Erweiterung “pixxio” konnte nicht geladen werden weil Photoshop das JavaScript-Zusatzmodul nicht finden konnte.”

However, I can’t find anything up-to-date on the Internet about what this “JavaScript add-on module” is. Is there any way to install it manually in PS? Can you give me any background to the error?

I’m using the latest version of PS.

Seem like you are the second developer reporting this… but I can’t remember who/where was the first one. But it wasn’t a long time ago… max few months.

The latest Beta should have the fix.

Would you backport some of those fixes also into 25.x ? Or what are the plans? Within the our company, we want to choose some most recent and stable version and stick with it for a while.

I’m pushing for an update to 25.12. Before the end of the year, maybe?

Hi @samgannaway , how can I open the beta in Intel Mode on Mac? Is there a hidden way to do so?

Get the latest Beta build. There was an issue with some previous builds.
