What steps are required to convert a Plugin over to API 2

Maybe I should be a little clearer. I have some plugins created in API 1 and want to start moving them over to API 2.
Apart from changing the Manifest is there anything else I need to be aware of
I’m having a hard time finding a complete reference let alone notes about replacements and deprecations. I’m hoping someone else can reply with something to prove me wrong but atm I think the docs are incomplete and unreliable.
