we have only been playing with UXP for about 3 weeks but already have a useable plugin for our internal users. However I am not sure how we can configure the plugin to use different variables based on whether we are in test mode or in production?
A bit different topic, but check this comment of mine. I believe it might give you a hint how you can use different config files for different environments. I assume you could define your variables in a similar way. IDK if this is a good way or not, but it works for me.

I basically do the same as @Karmalakas but Webpack being what it is I do it in an entirely different way
