Email that can be sent with the subscription or purchase

Is there a way that an email with a message can be sent to users who purchase or subscribe to my plugin?

FastSpring has this option. I think it’s a template email.

After a customer purchases a product on the marketplace I want sent to them an email that gives them instructions for how to use the product, where to go for support, how to unsubscribe if they need to.

I’m getting some bad reviews and the reviewers are complaining about they cannot cancel. Some simply say, product doesn’t work but they’ve never contacted me for support.

And secondary request.

Can an email be sent to me? I don’t need all the details only an order number or something. I have been getting emails from people saying, “I need to cancel my subscription”. Which I’ve mentioned is out of my hands, and I’ve asked if there is any reason and they don’t explain why or what’s wrong with the product (and they don’t have to but it’s happening frequently. They’ve given me no proof that they have a subscription. FastSpring is able to do this. I’ve spent a few years building plugins and I need this to work. Or win the lottery. But that will never happen. I will never win the lottery. So I need this to work.

IIRC refunds are handled by asupport@adobe.com (with a at the beginning). Maybe same for subscription cancellations

Did you consider a different Marketplace? The Adobe one is basic, in my opinion, and does not give you much freedom.

I like that the Adobe Marketplace is built in and ready to use but I’m not against posting my plugins to other marketplaces for additional sales and until the Adobe Marketplace adds some features I would like.

By marketplace do you mean an online stores like FastSpring? Or somewhere else? FastSpring is the backend that Adobe Marketplace works with and they have some of the features I’m requesting.

I have quite good experience with Gumroad. They have API to generate and verify license keys. You can generate discount codes yourself… enable/disable them, contact your customers. If someone reports a problem you can verify that he is legit owner of license. I think they added a subscription as well. You probably will have fewer organic visits. But you should figure out how to have traffic anyway in both cases if you want meaningful sales.
