A few months back I changed one of my plugins to a subscription model (I need to pay the bills). I set it at a low price and wanted to see if it would work.
Since then I’ll get multiple emails per week asking to cancel (it has a trial period). I’ve mentioned that I don’t handle the subscriptions. One customer said they can’t find how to unsubscribe. Another customer said they received an email from Adobe the next day. I didn’t hear back from them so I assume it all turned out ok.
I don’t know how many subscribers I have. I have posted a question about that here on the forums.
I found a similar post here. Should I reply with those instructions?
Is there or can there be provided an official or not even official but accurate unsubscribe instructions? None have given feedback and I’ve also received negative reviews saying and the comments are, “Can’t cancel”.
Also, what is the experience someone has when they subscribe to a plugin? Do they get an email? What does it say? Can we get an email when someone subscribes or makes a purchase? I have none of that data right now.
Hi @webexpress . Thank you for sharing your query and concern. Currently, the only way to unsubscribe is via the receipt the customer receive on the email. I am sharing a few screenshots of how that mail looks like, and the next steps:
open the email received on successfully subscribing a creative cloud plugin. Note that the same email goes to the customer irrespective of whether they began their journey on Creative Cloud Desktop plugin marketplace, or Exchange marketplace. This email begins with ‘Your Order:…’
Click on View/Edit subscription link in the email. This can be found in the ‘Order details’ section
A screen opens up in web browser, with subscription details. Click on ‘Cancel Subscription’
A final confirmation screen shows up. Click ‘Confirm’.
This should cancel the ongoing subscription.
