Plugins are being uninstalled, and users report losing their saved data related to the plugin

I’ve had a few users report this now. Just out of the blue, users will find that the installed plugin has been removed and it’s nowhere to be found. One user reported this as a predictable recurring event where, everytime his paid subscription is renewed, the plugin gets removed from his Photoshop.

I’ve forwarded the cases to the Adobe Team + have been assured that I’ll hear back as soon as the Engineering Team identified a root cause – but it’s radio silence so far.

Anyone else experiencing this with their plugins? Users save pretty complex operations on mine, so it’s a huge pain when this happens for them – since the whole point of my plugin is to save the user time, but they need to go back in and spend a ton of time setting up the operations again which is massively inconvenient for them.

Thanks.

It reminds me when I switched user account in CCD where was different settings and it uninstalled all older PS versions from 2019-2022 automatically :expressionless:

Hi @king_anton
We will surely love to help here.
We will need the logs for the machine where this issue is being reproduced.
Can you please collect the logs using the log collector tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html) and share the same on vipulg @ adobe . com

I have asked both users to use this log collector tool and report back so I can provide it to the Adobe Team – so far, no response. (Which doesn’t really surprise me because it’s kind of a big ask to have random users of my plugin do something as complex as utilize a log-collector tool. That’s more a task for developers, not casual Photoshop users…)

That said if/when they respond back with the log files, I will pass along to your team.
