Generate promo codes (vouchers)

Hi,

I know for sure it’s somehow possible to create some discount codes. I got one when upgrading a plugin I use from CEP to UXP and developer had this plugin with free lifetime updates. So he sent these codes to all plugin users.
I also see a voucher field on a plugin purchase form.

So how can I create some codes for my plugin if I want to give a discount or even for free to some of my users?

Hi, it’s not possible to create coupons by yourself.
You have to contact the Adobe Exchange support.

I see… That’s a bit sad and strange decision. I wonder why can’t developer create a code or two by himself/herself

According to my Adobe contacts it’s a technical limitation of Fastspring.

Any chance this was somehow addressed or do we still need to contact Adobe by email? If the latter, what’s the email?

We still need to contact Adobe. I have my contact, but I’m not sure if it applies to everyone  @Ingo

Hi @Karmalakas, You need to send an email to ccintrev@adobe.com and request to create the coupon for your plugin.

We can setup the coupon code for you. You need to provide the following details:

  • Coupon code and code format: Coupon codes are supported in two formats: single coupon code, and multiple random codes.
    • For a single coupon code, please choose a unique coupon code that will be stored on FastSpring. Every time a user enters your coupon code on the payment page, a discount will be applied to the cart value. (For example, “MYCOUPON-FREE".)
    • Multiple Random Codes: If you want, for example, 100 coupon codes, the Review Team will generate the codes. Please supply a five-character prefix that will be added at the beginning of each coupon code.
  • Coupon validity period: You may restrict your discount to a certain date range or request a perpetual coupon.

Any plans to implement FastSpring API? Sometimes ccintrev doesn’t reply for days :disappointed:

At this time, we do not have any plans to implement FastSpring API. Our guaranteed response time is 10 business days, but we are proud to say that in most cases, our standard response time is only 2 days. Please note that if your query needs to be forwarded to our engineering or support team, the response time may be longer.
