Issue with loading plugins in Adobe UXP Developer Tool since v24.1.0

I’m seeking advice regarding an issue I’m encountering while attempting to load plugins using the Adobe UXP Developer Tool.

Since Photoshop version 24.1.0, I have been unable to load any plugins. However, I do not experience any problems loading plugins with version 24.0.1.

Below is the error message displayed in the UDT LOGS:

Action: Plugin Load
Validation command successful in App with ID PS v24.5.0
Load command failed in App with ID PS v24.5.0
Plugin Load Failed.
Plugin load timed out. Please check if the host application is busy or in a modal state, and try again.

The Adobe UXP Developer Tool is currently up to date, at version 1.8.0 (1.8.0.6).

I have attempted to resolve this issue by testing all Photoshop versions from 24.1.0 to the latest one, 24.5.0, including the beta version 24.6.0. Unfortunately, the problem persists.

Additionally, I have tried performing a fresh installation of both Photoshop and the Adobe UXP Developer Tool on a different hard drive running macOS, but this did not resolve the problem.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to resolve this issue, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Thanks

Have you checked if developer mode is enabled in preferences?

I didn’t have the Enable Generator option enabled, but it doesn’t fix the problem.
Anyway, thanks for the suggestion.

Are you on Mac or Windows?

If you’re on Mac, many Mac users starting at Ps 24.4.0 had a major problem. Even though they could open Ps 24.4.0 and use it, when they looked at the the Apps tab their Creative Cloud app, Ps was NOT present in the list of Installed apps. Instead, it was sitting in the “Available in your plan” section. I’ve had many customers with this problem. And it gets worse. If they now click “Install” for Ps from the “Available in your plan” section, it wipes out their preferences, including their saved Ps actions. So, if everything isn’t backed up, they lose it. I’ve been recommending that customers back up their Ps preferences before installing Ps from the “Available in your plan” section and then reinstalling these after Ps is properly installed again.

Not saying this is happening in your case, but it’s easy to check the CC app and see what’s going on there.

That’s exactly what happened to me on Windows 10
And I’m really pissed at Adobe for this :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
Everything is gone - actions, brushes, workspaces, etc… Completely fresh install of Ps

Apart than loading the plugins with the UXP Developer Tool, I have no issues with Photoshop installed on my MacBook Pro.

Some of my system information is listed below, it may be useful in investigating my problem.

I am having the exact same issue on two different Macs, one with an intel chip and one with a M1 Max.

It doesn’t even load the example plugins from Adobe’s repository or the ones you create from the tool itself.

Tried to go back and installed the 24.0.1 and everything loaded fine, but it doesn’t load anything from 24.1 and above, including 24.6 release or 24.7 Beta.

If anyone gets here after me by searching on Google, I found after replying that the solution is here:
