I recently released a CEP extension for sale and free trial on the Adobe Exchange and am beginning to get some sales leads. With the shift towards UXP based plugins happening to Photoshop, I’m expecting to rewrite the extension to be a plugin next year.
My question is, can I release an update to an existing CEP extension which makes it a UXP based plugin? And in this scenario, will customers who bought the extension automatically receive the plugin via the Creative Cloud?
I’m concerned about telling people they’re buying a long term product if they would simply have to pay for it again once the UXP version is released. Thank you for any help on the subject.
