I wasn’t able to find a specific appropriate category or tag for the cloud-based trial “Photoshop API”.

Does one need to be created?

The Photoshop API you’re talking about doesn’t have a dedicated forum at this time, but they are in the process of creating one at community.adobe.com. You can see in this thread where someone else is asking about that API…
