"Failed to load plugin as loading and debugging of installed plugins is prohibited" message

Hi all,

I keep getting this error message on UXP Developer Tool every time I try to load the plugin on Windows (please see image below). I tried to run the tool as administrator, and also to disable and uninstall the production-plugin that I had installed and uses the same plugin id, but it didn’t help.

Didn’t find any past solution in the forum. I’d appreciate any help. Thanks!

Hey there!

While I’m not entirely sure, the error message sounds a bit like if you already have the plugin installed.

Is there any chance you might have a plugin with the same id in the manifest.json installed from the Creative Cloud Desktop app, as a .xdx file, or maybe in the (now deprecated) develop folder? If so, could you please try removing that plugin and try again?
