I feel exhausted to be trying to fix my users computers instead of my own plugin bugs. I’m migrating all my plugins to stand alone software because of this errors with no solution directly in Creative Cloud.
How should I point my users to fix the error code -2 ??
Is incredible how many this repeats lately…
Any help would be appreciated.
Error code -2 seems to be related to the .ccx file not being on the same drive as the Ps and CC apps.
Things to try:
- Be sure the .ccx file is decompressed if it is in a .zip folder.
- Try copying the ".ccx file to another location. The Desktop is the first place to which the “.ccx” file should be copied and then double-clicked to initiate installation. If that doesn’t work, for Mac and Windows, copy the .ccx file directly into the “Downloads” folder. Another location to try on Mac is the “Applications” folder. On Windows, try copying the “.ccx” file to the “C:\Temp” folder. All the locations should be tested to see if one works.
