Missing sales of Adobe Plugin Marketplace

@rauchwer @agandhi @vimalvarshney
In other words, if you and FastSpring spent more time, you could get the exact number of cases from the date this issue was generated to the date it was closed?

Then why don’t you do it?

We will analyze back further if and when FastSpring has the time to provide more data. We will continue but cannot give you a date.

Then, I will keep monitoring the progress. Hope you do not finish uninvestigated/unpaid.

@Dirk Sorry, not sure what you are talking about.

It is unclear how that relates to this issue. It seems off-topic.

Ok, I’ll delete it then. Sorry for bothering you.

I think I might’ve been affected by this too. A few days ago I’ve got an adjustment saying:

Adjustment due to transferring from seller adobe to split account-BC

No idea what it actually was though :thinking:

Ditto, looks like none of the sales from March are reflected in FastSpring.

Any updates or ideas?

Hi Vlad, following up from this based on Office Hours: I asked Martin, we’re tracking this internally as IOEXT-1284. I’ll follow when I hear something.

Hi Vlad,
There are few reason because of which all sales are not reflected in FastSpring yet.

  1. If “Try before you buy” is enabled for Subscription. “Try” period is for 1 month, after that payment will happen.
  2. There are 3 coupons with 30%,100% & 50% off created for ‘Conditional Styling Rules’. Out of 4 payout that can be seen on Fastspring, 3 of them has used 30% coupon. Any 100% coupon usage will not have any payment.

I believe you will see the payments after 1 month of “try before you buy” + 2 weeks after the acquisition date

@Madhur
Thank you for looking into it, but the monthly subscription is not the one I’m referring to.
I’m concerned about the listing id 2e1fb2bc, which is a yearly subscription without any try option (Adobe Exchange).
It was released on March 5th, and according to the Developer Insights page, 15 purchases were made during that month.

However, as you noticed, only 4 purchases are reflected in FastSpring, and those are dated in April.

Hi Vlad,

In fact 2e1fb2bc does offer the first month free as shown in attached picture.

  • The $31.71 April 7 90% payout reflects two $25 purchases made with a 30% coupon (on March 6 & 7).
  • The $38.25 April 21 90% payout represents two $25 purchases, one made at full price and one with a 30% coupon (on Mar 16 & 17 respectively).
  • The reason you see payouts for only 4 of the 15 purchases is because every payout has a one month delay because of the “First Month Free” try-before-you-buy option that you chose for 2e1fb2bc.

That is so AWESOME!! It’s what I wanted in the first place, but my understanding was that it’s not just the first month, but the first year. So I tried to deactivate it, but it probably didn’t worked.
Thank you so much for clarifying!
PS. @Erin_Finnegan This information about how the trial period works really must be clarified in the documentation.

It has been almost 5 months since the issue on this topic occurred. Could you let us know the current progress of the investigation by Adobe and FastSpring? Has it already been completed?
